Radicalisation
Radicalisation
Extremization is the processes whereby a person or a group condones anti-democratic measures, discrimination, violation of human rights or use of violence as means to reach religious, ideological or political goals.
This is what you do:
- In cases of immediate danger to life and health, call the police emergency number (112).
- If you have tips or concerns related to radicalisation or violent extremism, you can report them via their tips portal (NO). Reports can be made anonymously.
- You can also contact your local police district by calling 02800 and asking for the radicalisation contact (during daytime hours).
- Discuss your concerns with the radicalication contact. If you prefer, you can also discuss the matter anonymously. During this conversation, it will be determined whether and how the tip or concern should be followed up.
- Don't hesitate to contact the police—it's better to report one concern too many than one too few. Let the police make the assessment for you.
The police have established radicalication contacts in all police districts. They work closely with municipalities and have several measures they can implement if necessary.
Contact RVTS (NO) on 22 58 60 00 if you prefer to speak with someone other than the police about this matter.
