Radicalisation
Radicalisation
Extremization is the processes whereby a person or a group condones anti-democratic measures, discrimination, violation of human rights or use of violence as means to reach religious, ideological or political goals.
This is what you do:
- Contact the police at 02800 (24 hrs) and ask for the radicalisation contact in your district.
- Discuss your worries with the radicalisation contact. You can be anonymous.
- You will be informed on how the police will follow up on the person in question.
The radicalisation contact will inform your place of work or study if deemed necessary. In serious cases, they will involve the Norwegian Police Security Service.
The police has established radicalisation contacts in every police district. They collaborate closely with the municipal authorities and can implement a number of measures when needed.
Contact RVTS on 22 58 60 00 if you want to talk to somebody other than the police.
